An island to the east of Ceylon. A part of the expeditionary force sent by Parakkamabāhu I. to Rāmańńa landed on this island, captured some of the inhabitants and brought them to Ceylon, where they were presented to the king (Cv.lxxvi.57). Kākadīpa may have been the name of one of the Andaman Islands.
