A monastery in Ceylon. It was once the residence of a Sāmanera of great iddhi-power who later lost all these powers as a result of falling in love with a weaver's daughter of Kabupelanda (VibhA.293; but see MA.ii.700).
It may perhaps be the same as the Kūtāli-vihāra (q.v.).
