2. Verocana. A jewel, given to Kusa by Sakka when the former went out to fight against the seven kings who claimed Pabhāvatī's hand. J.v.310, 311.


2. Verocana. A Nāga king, who lived in the Ganges. When Nārada Buddha converted the Nāga Mahādona, Verocana invited the Buddha to a palace which he had built on the river and entertained him and the monks with great ceremony. Eighty thousand men entered the Order after having heard the Buddha return thanks on this occasion. Bu.x.12; BuA.154f.
