A town in Dakkhinadesa, once used as headquarters by Parakkamabāhu I., before his capture of the throne.
It was near Kyānagāma. Cv.lxxii.147, 263.
Geiger suggests (Cv. Trs.i.333, n.3) that it was the town attached to the fortress of Sīhagiri.
